On Tuesday 19th June many business leaders and entrepreneurs attended the UKBAA  Angel Investment Awards. Now in its 14th year, the annual UKBAA Angel Investment Awards celebrate high growth and success in the angel and early-stage investment market – recognising the fastest growing brands and acknowledging the founders, angels, crowd funders and early-stage venture capital investors behind them.

Having received nearly 300 nominations for the 14 awards,  the shortlist represented innovators and disruptors across a broad range of sectors and investment approaches. Jenny Tooth, OBE, CEO, UK Business Angels Association stated about the event:

“These past 12 months have been a time of continuing economic uncertainty, but also a time of important policy developments. So, it could not be more an important time to come together to recognise the incredible contribution that entrepreneurs are making to the UK’s economy and the vital role that angels and other investors are playing in bringing much-needed finance and support to enable them to achieve their growth ambitions.”

We are delighted to announce that CEO Kim Nilsson won the ‘Best Investment in a Female Founder’ award, highlighting the high growth potential of Pivigo and the clear role Kim has in supporting the growth and innovation of the business.  Upon winning this award, Kim stated:

“I am over the moon to have won this fantastic award. To have been recognised for ‘The One to Watch’ last year and then win this award this year is truly wonderful. Pivigo is doing some great things in Data Science, with many more exciting things still to come.”

This event also celebrates the investors who have brought risk capital and vital business experience, support, and connections to help these businesses further achieve their growth potential.
