Last night over 1,200 business and tech leaders attended the fourth annual Women in IT awards. Held at the Grosvenor House Ballroom on Park Lane, the top technology leaders gathered to celebrate diversity, inclusion leadership and IT excellence.
With 19 prestigious awards, the event showcases the achievements and innovation of women in technology, identifying new role models and promoting further dialogue around diversity among industry influencers.
Being an ambassador for promoting more women in tech, this is something that Pivigo’s CEO Kim Nilsson holds close to her heart. Therefore, the whole Pivigo team are very proud to announce that our CEO Kim Nilsson won the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. The calibre of shortlisted candidates was extremely high, making this accolade even more impressive. Throughout the event there were many awards given out and we would like to congratulate all the winners and finalists on their achievements. Upon receiving this award Kim stated:
“Extremely proud and humbled to be named ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at last night’s Women in IT awards. We can change this industry and build a better world by utilising a fully diverse workforce, building great businesses!”
With just 17% of employees in the UK technology sector women – and much fewer at senior and director levels – the event seeks to tackle the industry’s gender imbalance by showcasing the achievements of women in technology, identifying new role models and promoting constructive dialogue around diversity among key industry leaders.
Organised by business-technology magazine Information Age, the Women in IT Awards has gathered resounding support from trade associations, politicians and companies of all sizes and sectors since launching in 2015.
